The Chinese Ministry of Education offers fully funded scholarships for international students under the Chinese Government Scholarship program. Applications are open to students worldwide. There are free scholarships offered by Wuhan University to Chinese students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees. This scholarship is available for the 2024–2025 school year.

Wuhan University offers Chinese Government Scholarships for Postgraduate Degree Programs in almost all academic subjects and majors. The CSC Scholarship does not require the TOEFL or IELTS. A master’s degree takes three years to complete, and a doctorate takes four years.

• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and under 35 years old should apply for master’s programs.
• Candidates for doctorate programs should hold a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
• A minimum of an HSK level four certificate (Chinese Proficiency Test) is required for applicants to Chinese-medium programs.
• English-medium program applicants must submit an English Language test score report, with TOEFL requiring 80 and IELTS 5.5, or can apply without IELTS/TOEFL if they have an English Proficiency Certificate.
